Cranmere Primary and Nursery School

School Uniform

We are proud of our school uniform and expect all our children to attend school in full uniform.

If you have financial difficulty and unable to buy our school uniform then please speak to the Headteacher in confidence.

Long hair must be tied/held back from the face, and hair bands and hair ties should be navy blue/black and discreet.

We have a no jewellery policy for safety reasons. If your child already has ear piercings, then earrings can be worn only if they are small, plain, flat studs and can be removed easily by the child prior to PE. Please do not have your child's ears pierced during term time as they cannot be removed for at least four weeks. It is not acceptable to miss PE because ears have recently been pierced.

Additional equipment

All children are encouraged to bring a named water bottle to school to drink from in class time. We provide all stationary needed by your child but if your child wishes to bring in their own pencil case then it must be small enough to fit into their individual low height drawer unit and not excessive in size. Any pencil cases deemed too large will be sent home.

Please make sure that all items of school uniform and all belongings brought to school are clearly marked with your child’s name.

Nursery:

There is no uniform for our Nursery. To help our children join in with our whole school community they may wear a school sweatshirt and a PE t-shirt. No PE kit required. The children play outside all year round, so on colder days please make sure they wear warm clothing and bring a pair of wellington boots (to leave at school), and on sunny days please provide a hat.
