'It's not the winning but the taking part that counts"?
A phrase echoed by the founder of the Olympics Baron Pierre de Coubertin, who said "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well."
Thank you to our Year 5 and 6 children who not only fought well but gave their all proudly representing Cranmere in the Sports Athletic competition held at Walton Heathside. The children demonstrated fantastic sports skills and worked tirelessly together to form an incredible team. Winning may have eluded them nevertheless, their impeccable behaviour and sportsmanship shone brightly. Well! Done...Miss Hamilton and the whole school are very proud of you all.
