Term Dates

Cranmere Primary School is a maintained school and therefore our term dates (excluding Inset days) are set by the Local Authority. 

Inset days, which are set by school, are listed on this page and on our school calendar. Nursery start and finish dates are also likely to be slightly different to the main school term dates - please see below for more information

Summer Term 2026

First Day of Term - Monday 13th April

Bank Holiday - Monday 4th May

Half Term - Monday 25th May - Friday 29th May

Inset Day - Monday 1st June (staff only). n.b. a change to the originally published date. INSET is no longer on Friday 22nd May – children should attend on that Friday as normal.

Last day of Nursery - Friday 17th July (3pm finish)

Last Day of Term - Wednesday 22nd July - pupils finish at 1:30pm

Indian Elephants class (15 hours) start on Monday 13th April at 9:00am and finish on Wednesday 15th July at 11:45am.

African Forest Elephants class (15 hours) start on Wednesday 15th April at 12:15pm and finish on Friday 17th July at 3:00pm.

Children who do 30 hours start on Monday 13th April at 9:00am and finish on Friday 17th July at 3:00pm.

Autumn Term 2026

First Day of Term - Thursday 3rd September

Half Term - Monday 19th October - Friday 30th October (two weeks)

Last Day of Term - Friday 18th December - pupils finish at 1:30pm

Spring Term 2027

First Day of Term - Monday 4th January 2027

Half Term - Monday 15th February - Friday 19th February (one week)

Last Day of Term - Thursday 25th March - pupils finish at 1:30pm
