Reception 2026 - joining info

Reception registration packs

Registration packs are now available to all those with an offer for Reception 2026. 

You can either collect a paper pack from the school office, or use the electronic copies that we have uploaded to this webpage (please see bottom of the page). 

Please can we ask you to return the completed forms to the school office by Monday 22nd June. You can either bring paper copies to the office, or email electronic copies to admissions@cranmere.surrey.sch.uk.

We will also need to see your child's original birth certificate. We can't accept a photocopy or scanned version. If your child is in Cranmere’s Nursery and you already did this, there is no need to do it again.

 

Reception parents/carers information evening

Monday 29th June at 5pm

This is for parents/carers only (not children). Please come to the main office entrance and we will sign you in here. 

At this event we will give you a pack which will include the Reception information brochure, details of your home visit date/time (if applicable), and confirmation of the session your child will attend on Thursday 3rd September.

 

Reception Stay & Play

Monday 13th July at 9:30am

For parents/carers plus your children! Please come to the main office entrance. If your child already attends our Nursery, you can come and we will link you up with your child for the Stay and Play session.

 

Home visits

These are for families new to Cranmere. Your 30 minute slot will be on one of the following dates: Tuesday 14th July, Monday 20th July, Wednesday 2nd September. 

We will be able to give you your home visit slot in the pack given out at the Reception parents' information evening on 29th June.

 

Start of term

The first day of term is Thursday 3rd September. On this day, the children will either attend a morning or afternoon slot – we will confirm to you which one in the pack given out at the information meeting on 29th June. These smaller group sessions help us to settle the children into their new environment gently and give them time to become familiar with staff, routines and their classmates.

On Friday 4th September, all reception children will be in from 9am – 3pm.

From Monday 7th September, children will attend Reception full time (8:30am – 3:20pm). If you would like to request a staggered start, please get in touch with us to discuss this.
