Reception 2025 - joining info

Reception registration packs

These are now ready. 

If your child is in our nursery - we will send it home with them. 

If your child has an older sibling in our school - we will send it home with their sibling. 

If you are new to the school, you can either pop by the school office between now and the end of Thursday 22nd May to collect it, or we'll put it in the post to you on Friday 23rd May. Either way is completely fine. 

We have also uploaded the registration documents to this webpage (please see bottom of the page), so if you prefer, you can complete them electronically and email them to us at admissions@cranmere.surrey.sch.uk.

Please can we ask you to return the completed forms to the school office by Friday 20th June. We will also need to see your child's original birth certificate (except if your child is currently in our nursery and so we have already seen it). 

Reception parents/carers information evening

Tuesday 24th June, 6pm - 7pm

This is for parents/carers only (not children). Please come to the main office entrance and we will sign you in here. 

At this event we will give you a pack which will include the Reception information brochure and a document confirming which class your child will be in, and which session they will attend on Fri 5th September (see further info below under 'Start of term'). 

Reception Stay & Play

Tuesday 8th July, 9:30am - 10:30am

For parents/carers plus your children! Please come to the main office entrance. If your child already attends our Nursery, you can come and we will link you up with your child for the Stay and Play session.

Home visits

Exact dates to be confirmed, but these will be in July. We will be able to give you your home visit slot in the pack given out at the Reception parents' information evening in June.

Start of term

The first day of term is Friday 5th September. On this day the children will either attend a morning or afternoon slot - we will confirm to you which it will be in the pack given out at the Reception parents' information evening in June. Children will attend Reception full time from Monday 8th September, unless you wanted to request a staggered start - please get in touch if so.
